Allison and Ryan’s glam wedding is absolutely full of wedding inspiration! With The Bell Tower as their venue and backdrop, this couple painted the town in a rich, romantic color palette, a splash of sparkle, stunning attire, and undeniable true love! Get ready to swoon ALL day!
What is your favorite quality in your husband/wife?
Ryan: “My favorite quality in my wife is her ability to care so much about everybody.”
Allison: “My favorite quality in Ryan is how compassionate and supportive he is.”
When did you know you were falling in love?
“The New Year’s Eve when we ditched our dates and kissed for the first time. Before that we were close friends and housemates, but after that we were always much more.”
Was the planning process as stressful as you imagined?
“It was! We took on a lot of the planning and projects on our own, and we cared about the details. We did away with a lot of the traditional aspects and wanted the wedding to feel like ‘us.’ Personalizing our wedding celebration to the level that we did was harder than we thought it would be, but was so worth it! We wrote our entire ceremony and vows together, Ryan composed and recorded the song that Allison walked down the aisle to, we created/brought many of the printed items and décor, we made our own music playlists, and the list goes on!”
Did you have a specific theme or design inspiration for your big day?
“We wanted it to be glamorous, yet comfortable. Loosely inspired by the 1920s with pops of sparkle.”
What was the most memorable moment?
“Other than exchanging our vows that we wrote together, Ryan thinks it was seeing me walk down the aisle. I loved when he sang a song that he wrote for me. His friends got on stage with him to sing the harmonies and play the instruments.”
What was your first dance song, and why did you choose it?
“We wanted our first dance to be with our guests so as soon as we were done eating, our favorite 80s cover band, Guilty Pleasures, started playing and all of our guests hit the dance floor with us to an 80s song of the band’s choice! It was one of our favorite post-ceremony moments because you never know if your guests will feel like dancing, but ours did right along with us!”
Tell us about your grand exit!
“We didn’t want a grand exit, so instead we chose to leave with our friends and family!”
What would you recommend to every bride-to-be?
“To both the bride and groom: Don’t let the intensity of wedding planning make you lose sight of the amazingness waiting for you. Focus on the details, but don’t obsess and know when to move on to the next great plan.”
Best wishes to you, Allison & Ryan!
