Y’all! Get ready because this wedding is FULL of inspiration that will sweep you off your feet! Not only is this celebration outstandingly beautiful with lots of florals, greenery, and natural aspects, but Anna and Eric are just the sweetest couple! Jessica Lee Photographic Art captured their intentional love for one another and this swoon-worthy outdoor soiree brilliantly! Get all the details from Anna below!
What is your favorite quality in Eric?
“I love how Eric is such an encourager. He believes in us, and he believes in me. When it came to planning our wedding, Eric supported me and cheered me on during every new adventure I tried out. He does the same thing daily in our life together.”
When did you know you were falling in love?
“I started falling in love with Eric when he demonstrated how dedicated he was to intentionally engaging with the things I love. I’ll never forget the winter he read three books that I love within a couple weeks. He even came to my college softball games in the freezing cold just to support me. He wanted to know everything about me, and he loves every part of me.”
Did you have a specific theme or design inspiration for your big day?
“I always got so nervous talking about themes when I was planning my wedding because everyone has such concrete thoughts about abstract terms. A lot of my design inspiration came from the venue itself and from nature. In fact, we are both from the Midwest, and we decided to have our wedding in Tennessee because we fell in love with the venue. I wanted everything to feel very pretty and organic. I spent lots of time looking at weddings, but ultimately I chose design elements that felt most true to Eric and me. I didn’t know what to call the theme until I sat down with my wedding photographer, Jessica Lee Photographic Art. As I was describing it, she said, ‘So kind of like Anthropologie Rustic?’ And that was it! That’s the best description I’ve found of our theme.”
What was your first dance song, and why did you choose it?
“Our first song was ‘All of Me’ by John Legend. Eric and I knew that would be our song shortly after getting engaged which was strange because we never really had ‘a song.’ All of Me just felt perfect because of the lyrics. They just fit so much of our relationship perfectly.”
What traditions did you incorporate?
“Growing up, I was absolutely in love with my mom’s wedding bouquet so I made sure I also had an amazing bouquet. Florals and greenery became a huge part of our design. Also, It was important to us to incorporate our faith into our wedding. We wanted to be married outside in God’s creation, and we wanted to commit ourselves to God, as well as our family and friends. Other than that, as far as wedding traditions go, we had a groom’s cake, and Eric made sure he didn’t see me before I walked down the aisle.”
Tell us about your grand exit!
“Eric and I did our grand exit from the ceremony. Exiting our ceremony, we had a petal toss prepared. Petal cones lined our guests’ seats and they tossed the petals on us as we exited the outdoor ceremony. It was such a pretty moment, and it was so fun to see Eric’s excitement. We stayed and danced the night away until the last of our guests left the reception.”
What was the most memorable moment?
“So much of what I remember is all of the joy that surrounded us. If I had to pick one moment, it would be when Jessica pulled Eric and I away around sunset for some more portraits. It was such a sweet time away from the celebration.”
We wish you the best lives together, Anna & Eric!
