Paige and Doug’s February wedding was not your typical winter wedding, and we are SO inspired! From the classic Southern staples like magnolia leaves to the mementos reminiscent of their first meeting, this day screams undeniable, unconditional love — even on a rainy day! Get all the behind-the-scenes details from Paige below!
What is your favorite quality in your husband?
“I am actually a wedding planner and my favorite quality during the planning of our wedding was his calmness and reassurance that everything will work and be amazing. He is still like that with marriage. Everything will work out and be amazing.”
When did you know you were falling in love?
“We met on Cinco De Mayo at a crawfish boil. We’ve been inseparable ever since!”
They also included aspects of their first meet, too! How sweet!
What was the most memorable moment?
“We were set on a winter wedding. Knowing the weather in East Tennessee can vary in February, I was prepared to be happy with any weather. It turned out to be a warmer February day, with no rain past 2 o’clock. The Reserve at Bluebird Hill was very accommodating to weather changes. They set up the chairs in a field with incredible views. As soon as I came out for the ceremony it began to rain. The guests didn’t seem to mind so we went with it. I will never forget the rain falling down during our vows. I ended up loving the rainy memory.”
Did you have a specific theme or design inspiration for your big day?
“I wanted a magnolia theme with fun accents.”
What was your first dance song, and why did you choose it?
“We wanted something different and possibly a local band. We chose Dirty Guv’nahs ‘Fairlane.’ It was perfect!”
Tell us about your grand exit!
“We did a beautiful sparkler exit!”
Happily Ever After Paige & Doug!
