Happy (Haute) Halloween!
Halloween has been one of my favorite holidays since I was a kid, maybe even more now honestly. The fall foliage, the pumpkins, a warm color scheme, and even a dash of spookiness –– I love it all! It also makes a great theme for a celebration, too! Whether you are having a costume engagement party, an All Hallows Eve wedding, or just a Monster Bash for the night, there is definitely a way to celebrate in a stylish, modern way!
Stick to an elegant color scheme!
One of the keys of this theme is that glowing color scheme of oranges and golds with pops of striking black. I don’t know about you, but to me it screams fall and cozy with a sense of regal elegance! Depending on your style, you can play up the natural colors of the season by using different sized pumpkins and gourds with a little bit of candlelight, or use it as the perfect excuse to add a little gold glitter. For example, these dazzling pumpkin place cards are a great piece to your decor and are super easy to DIY!
Stunning, yet spooky details give this theme life (or death)!
Having a Halloween wedding gives you so many areas to branch out from the typical wedding details. For instance, we love the idea of these vintage inspired elixir bottles as gift favors for your guests or the placement of a “‘Til Death” neon sign that is totally reminiscent of the commitment you just took! However, if you want to keep the wedding more traditional but have a slightly spooky feel, the ideal place to incorporate it is in your signature drinks or with an eye-catching all black dessert menu! Yum! With unique details like this, your wedding will definitely be a night no one will forget!
